How to market an NFT project in 2023

Part 1: The Problem

Creating an NFT project can be an exciting and rewarding endeavor, but it also comes with its own set of challenges. In 2021, NFTs were the biggest hype, everyone wanted to invest in them, and people were making money FAST. However, this has all changed in 2023.

The biggest challenge that many NFT project creators face is getting enough exposure and traction for their projects. With so many NFT projects being created and launched every day, and so many others that have failed miserably, it can be difficult to stand out, and attract the attention and trust of potential buyers and investors.

On the other hand, an NFT project requires time to gain momentum, it is not an overnight success and should not be seen as a “quick way to earn money”. At least not anymore.

Part 2: The Solution for Astramates

Back in 2022, Valesco joined an NFT project called “Astramates” one month before their official launch date. Here is what we did on such short notice for social media:

First step: Establishing a roadmap to determine the backbone and development of our project

Second step: Choosing (4) social media profiles to expand our community; Discord, Twitter, Instagram & TikTok

Third step: Optimizing our profiles with pictures, keywords, website links, and enticing biography, this was our “Business card”.

Fourth Step: Beginning to post A LOT. And by a lot I mean:

Instagram - 3 posts per day

Twitter - 2 tweets per day

TikTok- 1 video per day

Discord- as many messages and chats as we could.

Part 3: The results

By implementing a solid narrative, making the project easy to find, and investing in marketing and promotion, we saw an increase in the exposure and traction of the NFT project. This led us to a number of positive results, including:

  • Increased visibility welcoming over 800 followers and over 2,000 likes combining all platforms.

  • Improved engagement by building relationships with buyers and investors and increasing the likelihood that they will continue to support the project.

Part 4: The Takeaway

Marketing an NFT project in 2023 will not be too different from how it was in 2021. The project will need to include Social Media, SEO Marketing, SEM Marketing, and Funnel Strategies working simultaneously.

On the other hand, WEB3 will open new ways to market these NFT projects, the internet is changing as we know it.

It will take time, it’s not something that will happen over a few months and how things are looking, not even years. The NFT market is through the floor right now, So if you start a project this year you need to keep in mind it will require patience, but that head start can make ALL the difference.
